DA Vibe of Today

The choreographers Marga Douma-Alta and Rosan van Essen are currently working on a new production. In cooperation with young dancers, choreographers and musicians they reflect on life in 2013/2014. The hurry, the bustle in the streets, at school, in your private life. Is there a private life? Everybody is online continually, what are the consequences of the constant flow of information? Are the current young people really so dramatically different from those 50 years ago? What are the perceptions of older generations?

The young creators investigate the differences between their own lives and those of their parents, grandpa's and grandma's. They are challenged to observe their day to day lives, discuss and reflect on them and to translate the essence of their lives in dance, music and film, thereby creating a diverse show that unveils the spirit of our age.

Your work as choreographer

In future productions of DA Vibe, (graduated) dancers / choreographers who want to cooperate will get the chance to apply for a subsidy through the Foundation to fund your work as a choreographer. Finished choreographies will become part of digital portfolio of DA Vibe. Stay tuned and watch our website and/or Facebook page for announcements of future DA Vibe productions.
